“Last week was what we call the flip or the midpoint of the session. So all of our good work in the Senate went over to the House and vice versa,” began State Senator Andy Zay.
He and State Representatives David Abbott and Chris Judy led an update informational session for the public during Saturday’s Whitley County Chamber Expo at Indian Springs Middle School.
The majority of the discussion focused on the major bills being looked at by the House and Senate during session, as well as the budget.
“The House had a budget they worked through and sent over to us and we’ll spend the bulk of our time (in the Senate) in the second half combing through that amongst other things,” said Zay.
