Pilot brings plane with Columbia City history back home for visit

Staff Writer

Pilot Andrew King has flown across all fifty states with three different airplanes that were made in the 1950s. King touched down in Columbia City at the Gordon Airport on Sunday, July 28. Originally from New York, King obtained an antique airplane made in 1928 by Travel Air, E-4000 number NC9079, that at one time belonged to a Columbia City resident named J. L. Parker.

To read more about the plane and its history, grab a copy of Wednesday's edition of The Post & Mail, available at newsstands and convenience stores throughout Whitley County.
