Margaret Mary “Maggie” (Love) Clifford, 82, of rural Columbia City, died at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Columbia City, where she had been a resident since March of 2011.
She was born Nov. 30, 1929, in Fort Wayne, a daughter of James and Mary (Traficanti) Perrella.
Raised in Fort Wayne, she attended St. Vincent’s Catholic School.
On Jan. 29, 1994, she was united in marriage to James R. Clifford. They made their home in Tennessee. In 2002, they moved to rural Columbia City.
She was employed for more than 28 years at Seyfert’s Foods in Fort Wayne.
Surviving relatives include her husband, James; four sons, Harold Love Jr. and David (Staci) Love, Rex (Denise) Love and Dennis (Teresa) Love, all of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Karen (Denny) Burnworth of Columbia City; 28 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Angie Strahm of Fort Wayne; a brother, Frank (Janet) Bontempo of Fort Wayne and four stepdaughters, Susan (Thomas) Ellis of Fort Wayne, Barb Elbrecht of Fort Wayne, Linda (Randall) Collins of Churubusco and Dawn (Randy) Gunder of Albion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Numbers and three brothers, Tony, James and Ralph Perrella.
The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with Father Gary Sigler as the officiant. The burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are Alzheimer’s Association.
