Passages presents ‘Paintings,
Pickles & Patrick March 16
COLUMBIA CITY – This fun event features dance performances and an art auction with over 150 pieces of artwork, jewelry and furniture.
It will be held March 16 at the Peabody Public Library Auditorium, located at 1160 E. State Road 205 in Columbia City, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Bidding ends at 7 p.m.
Admission is free. All proceeds will be used toward the Passages Artistry program, dedicated to helping people with intellectual disabilities showcase their artwork.
All artwork was made by the clients at Passages.

Eagles to host taco night
and St. Pat’s fun
COLUMBIA CITY – The Fraternal Order of Eagles 1906 and the Eagle Riders, are holding two open house events to raise money for a new roof at their downtown club.
Friday, March 16, at 4 p.m. there will be a taco night. Hard tacos are 50 cents each. Soft tacos 75 cents.
Saturday, March 17, there will be a St. Patty’s Party. Irish stew will be served at 4 p.m. There will also be green beer. A live band, “4 on the Floor” will play from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
COLUMBIA CITY — En-thralling stories and characteristics of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States, will come alive through Gib Young’s professional and historical interpretation March 19.
The event is part of the Whitley County Historical Society’s annual meeting and will take place at The Brownstone in South Whitley at 6 p.m.
The event will precede the election of proposed and current members for board of director membership. Awards honoring extraordinary members of the Whitley County Historical Society will also be presented.
Reservations are $18 per person. The Brownstone is located at 105 S. State St. in South Whitley.

Whitko Talent Show
is Friday, March 23
LARWILL – The Whitko Middle School talent show will be held Friday, March 23, at 6:30 pm.
All proceeds go towards the Whitko Middle School Peacekeeper Program.
Cost at the door is $3.50 for students and $4.50 for adults. Concessions are also available. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Haystack Breakfast and Silent Auction Benefit March 24
A Haystack Breakfast and Silent Auction benefit for Terry Warren Sr. will be March 24, 7 to 11 a.m. at the Noble Township Fire Department, located at 3199S. Ind. 109. Donations for the Silent Auction appreciated. To donate, contact the Noble F.D. at (260) 799-9987.
South Whitley Lions Club
benefit dinner coming
SOUTH WHITLEY – Saturday, March 24, the South Whitley Lions Club will be serving an all you can eat dinner, starting at 4 p.m.
They will be serving fish, tenderloins and Rocky Mountain oysters with baked beans, applesauce, cake and a drink. The cost is $8.50 for adults and $4 for ages six to 14.
This event is being held at the Cleveland Township Fire Station on State Street in South Whitley.
Spring Craft Show
& Sale set March 31
WOLF LAKE – The Wolf Lake Onion Days Committee second annual Spring Craft Show and Sale will be held March 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Noble Township Fire Station, located South of Wolf Lake on Ind. 109.
Tickets for hourly raffle drawing are available the day of the show. One ticket for each nonperishable food item donated to the Wolf Lake Food Bank.
Booth space is still available on a first come first serve basis. Space rental is $20 per site and includes one 6 foot table.
