COLUMBIA CITY — Charles Heflin still remembers the sounds of the approaching sirens and howling winter winds as paramedics made their way to the cemetery. Close to his chest, he held the infant, the near lifeless four-day-old child that was abandoned. “I was working as a supervisor for a cable company in Urbana, Ill.,” said Heflin. “I heard over my radio that emergency dispatch had received an anonymous call from a woman reporting she had abandoned her four-day-old infant in a cemetery. “
