WHITLEY COUNTY — After Sunday’s winter storm dumped more than a foot of snow on Whitley County and much of Northeast Indiana, crews continued to clear roadways throughout the day Monday — a task that has been a losing battle.
After Winter Storm Ion was done dumping 16.2 inches of snow on Whitley County, temperatures began to drop, and winds picked up.
Sunday night, Whitley County Commissioner Don Amber said plowing county roads was nearly impossible for Whitley County’s Highway Department.
