COLUMBIA CITY — Two Allen County people were arrested in relation to a body found in Whitley County in May.
Nikolas Hurt and Brooke Hill were each charged for disposing the body of Dillon Warner, 22, of Fort Wayne.
According to case reports, Warner was in the passenger seat of his own vehicle when he died — likely due to drugs.
Hill told police Hurt was driving Warner’s vehicle April 27, and they stopped at McDonald’s near U.S. 30 and Goshen Road.
Hill said they left Warner in the vehicle to sleep while they went inside.
“She said after returning to the car, Dillon was not breathing and had red-foaming stuff coming from his mouth,” Whitley County Sheriff’s Detective Jason Spencer said in a case report. Hill said Hurt attempted to do some form of CPR to his chest, but after it didn’t work, the pair became scared.
Hill told police they drove to the secluded property of Tom Strack, Whitley County, and dumped his body in the woods.
Strack discovered the body May 8, as he was going for a walk on his property on County Road 800 East, north of Old Trail Road.
