COLUMBIA CITY — A group of women spent Saturday remodeling and cleaning a home as part of National Women Build Week.
From May 4-12, women across the country are rolling up their sleeves, donned work gloves, and set about the initiative sponsored by Habitat for Humanity.
During the week-long event, women are devoting at least one day to the effort. Saturday, a home on Main Street in Columbia City received some much needed attention.
On the job site was Laura Richcreek, of Columbia City, who was participating in the work project.
Her experience with Habitat for Humanity is one of a personal nature. Having bought a Habitat for Humanity home, she knows firsthand what the housing organization can do.
