YOUNG ARTISTS: ISMS art on display at Ft. Wayne Museum

FORT WAYNE — Five Indian Springs Middle School students were honored with Gold Key Awards for their art submitted in a scholastic contest. Seventeen out of 85 pieces were chosen to be put on display at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art from Feb. 10 through April 7.

ISMS art teacher, Mary Hilger, accompanied the students at the Scholastic Art Ceremony Sunday at the Grand Wayne Center in Fort Wayne.

Megan Jagger won three Gold Key Awards along with Abigail Schrader and Hailey Hackworth for their photos. Hackworth picked up her second award with her drawing.

For digital photography, Anna von Seggern received two awards along with Mariah Greenwood who will also have her art on display.

Four additional students won Silver Key Awards for ISMS. Honored were: Brooklyn Dittmer, Rhea Young, Amanda Nordman and Jared Winebrenner.

Receiving Honorable Mention Awards were: Young, Abigail Goller and Isabella Kreig.

The winners were individually honored on stage during the Regional Awards Ceremony at the Grand Wayne Center.
