William McCoy, 75

ALBION — William G. McCoy, 75, of Albion, died at 1:55 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Avalon Village in Ligonier.
He was born Feb. 27, 1937, southwest of Albion, a son of James Ralph and Freida L. (Gaerte) McCoy.
On April 17, 1970, he was married to Daisy M. Clouse. She preceded him in death on June 7, 1998.
Surviving relatives include two brothers, James R. McCoy and John McCoy, both of Albion; two sisters Janice M. Aungst of Dade City, Fla., and Mary Inlow Poyser of Albion; his companion, Flora VanStraaten of Albion; her children, Tim Tillman of Albion and John Tillman of Mulberry, Fla.; and her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also had numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco, with Rev. Mark E. Wood, pastor of Burr Oak Baptist Church, officiating.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday after 11 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Interment will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Central Noble Food Pantry, Albion.
