Whitko track takes second

SOUTH WHITLEY — Whitko’s boys track team hosted a four-way meet Tuesday night, placing second to Three Rivers Conference foe Manchester.

The Squires finished the meet with 85 points, followed by Whitko with 80, Northfield with 55 and Lakeland Christian with 0.

The Wildcats were paced by Connor Stouder, who had three first-place finishes.

Stouder took first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.4. He won the 200 with a 23.1 time, and placed first in the 400-meter dash with a 53.7 time.

Stouder ran the last leg of the 1,600-meter relay for first-place Whitko.
Also on the relay team were Dillon Patrick, Brady Herendeen and Kuyler Bailey.

Bailey won the 800-meter run for Whitko and placed fourth in the mile run.

Herendeen took first in the long jump with a leap of 19 feet, 6.5 inches.

Herendeen ran the second leg of the 400-meter relay team of Michael Carroll, Tyler Sherwin and Patrick — the ’Cats took second in the event.

In the pole vault, Jacob Helton and Evan Cozad took first and second, respectively, in the event.

Blake Sapp took second in the high jump.
