Whitko takes senior night victory

October 18, 2013

SOUTH WHITLEY — Whitko’s volleyball seniors finished out their final home match with a four-game win over Caston Thursday — better than that, the Lady Wildcats finished with the most regular-season wins since 1998 with nine victories.

The Lady Wildcats grabbed a 25-19 win in game one and a dominating 25-12 victory in the second game.

In game three, Whitko fell in a 25-20 match before coming back with an extra-point 29-27 win in the fourth and final game.

Middles Whitney Hobbs and Taylor Zwick, along with libero Dana Hobbs, were the seniors who led the Lady ’Cats to the impressive season.

“The seniors were honored tonight for their hard work and dedication to the program,” said Whitko Head Coach Brandy Smith.
