Whitko girls get 1st win

WARREN — Whitko’s girls golf team picked up its first win of the year Tuesday.
The Lady Wildcats outshot Southern wells 231-241 at Dogwood Glen Golf Club. April Bishop paced Whitko with 53, two behind the leading golfer from Southern Wells. Samantha Shell chipped in 57 and Elizabeth Gensch had 59.
Kennedy Krull and Aurelia Stephens had 67 and 69, respectively, to round out Whitko’s scoring.
The Lady Wildcats are now 1-4 for the year.

Lady ‘Cats fall in triangular

WARSAW — Whitko’s girls golf team came in third at a triangular meet Monday in Warsaw.
Whitko shot 244 to come in third behind North Miami with 212 and Triton with 221 at Rozella Ford Golf Club.
April Bishop led the Lady Wildcats with a score of 56. Aurelia Stephens and Elizabeth Gensch each had 62. Samantha Shell had 64 and Kennedy Krull carded a 68.

Whitko comes in third place

SYRACUSE — Whitko’s girls golf team opened its season by placing third at South Shore Golf Course last Thursday.
Whitko scored 306 as a team, with five golfer scores being taken instead of four. Host Wawasee had 246 and Concord shot 259.
April Bishop had the top Lady Wildcat score at 52. Kennedy Krull had 58 and Aurelia Stephens shot 61. Elizabeth Gensch scored 64, Kirsten Crawford had 71 and Claire Reiff 72.
The next meet for Whitko is at the Wawasee Invitational Saturday.
