Wayne Doty, 88

Wayne E. Doty, 88, formerly of Woodburn, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Columbia City. Born in Allen County, he was the son of the late William and Minnie Doty.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Payne, Ohio. Wayne was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed fishing, playing cards and winters in Florida with his late wife, Doris.
Wayne is survived by his children, Barbara (Max) Cotner and Dale (Lana) Doty, both of Columbia City; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Doris Doty in 2012, and siblings, Katheryn Bouillon, Evelyn Andorfer, Donald Doty, and Gaylord Doty.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday at St. James Lutheran Church, 511 W. Townline St., Payne, Ohio with calling from noon to 2 p.m. prior to service. Pastor Fred Meuter will officiate. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to St. James Lutheran Church, Payne, Ohio. Arrangements were made by E.
