Walter â€śBobâ€ť Ball Jr., 84, died June 15, 2011.
Ball was born Jan. 24, 1927, to Walter R. and Mabel (Woodcox) Ball Sr. at Leiterâ€™s Ford in Fulton County.
On June 17, 1951 he married Berdenia M. Jackson at the Fulton Evangelical Church.
He served in the United States Army-Air Corps during World War II.
He is survived by his wife Berdenia of Ligonier; two sons, Steven L. Ball of Fort Wayne, Phillip L. Ball of Ligonier; two daughters, Mary Ann Hooley of Ligonier, Mary Alice Yoes of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Leona Skinner of Elkhart, Marquerite Click of Denver, Ind., Lucille Clifton of Culver, Colleen Burkhart of Plainfield and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Ligonier Evangelical Church, with Pastor Otto Beer and Troy Diersing officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery where military graveside honors will be conducted.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier and from 10 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
A Masonic service will be conducted at 8 p.,m. following the visitation Friday evening.
Memorial contributions are to Ligonier Masonic Lodge or LaGrange County Public Library.
