Two Eagles, Hudgins join All-Stars

Conference championships and 10 plus wins will get you recognized among your peers —possibly honored with postseason accolades — in Indiana high school football.
For Columbia City head coach Randy Hudgins and two Eagles from Whitley County, the state took notice and placed them amongst the North All-Star selections.
In 2010, Hudgins led Columbia City to its first Northeast Hoosier Conference title since 1990. His second season with the Eagles, Hudgins led City to its first 10-win season in school history.
Hudgins will serve as the offensive line coach for the North team.
Joining him is senior City lineman Andrew Tourney. The second-team all-conference selection was a crucial part of the Eagles pass protection for all-time leading passer in school history Logan Rehrer.
Going down as an all-time leader at Churubusco, running back Kyle Mathewson came off the Eagles second straight NECC championship and a semistate appearance with a spot on the North team.
Twelve players from northeast Indiana will be on the 46-player roster. The team will spend a week in training at the University of Indianapolis July 10 to 15. The North-South All-Star game is 7 p.m. July 15 at North Central High School.
