CHURUBUSCO — Amanda Martin has moved to the head of the Class of 2013 for Churubusco Junior-Senior High School.

Martin, daughter of David and Amy Martin, was named valedictorian.

Coming in at the number two spot was Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient Chandler Brown.

Brown, CJSHS’s salutatorian, is the son of Doug and Larisa Brown.
Looking back over their four years at CJSHS, the pair of academic achievers agree that the time was well spent.

“It went really, really fast,” Brown said. “At the time I didn’t think it was going fast, but now I can’t believe the end is here.”

“I thought high school would never end, but now that it’s here, it’s all happening fast,” Martin said.

Graduating at the top of the class has made Martin’s parents proud of her accomplishments and eager to share that with those they know.
