TECH TRADES IN DEMAND: Skilled labor necessary for device manufacturing

COLUMBIA CITY – Skilled labor and precise manufacturing trades are in demand in Whitley County.

With technology expanding in the medical device industry, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine operating jobs are becoming competitive.

CNC machines are automated milling devices that make industrial components without direct human assistance.

They use coded instructions that are sent to an internal computer, which allows factories to fabricate parts accurately and quickly. There are many different types of CNC machines, from drills to plasma cutters, that make a wide variety of parts.
