Stormwater audit nets two minor violations

COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City’s Stormwater Department recently underwent an audit by the Indiana Department of Enviornmental Management (IDEM).

While two deficiencies were noted, Stormwater Superintendent Jeff Walker said overall, he received positive feedback from IDEM about the city’s programs.

Walker said the city’s two violations weren’t major — a delayed project needs completed, and Walker is required to train all city employees about stormwater and illicit dumping.
