SNOW HITS COUNTY -- AGAIN

February 5, 2014

WHITLEY COUNTY (Feb. 5, 2014) -- Snow blanketed the county once again last night and this morning. Many residents woke up to a scene such as the one pictured -- snow-covered vehicles and drifted parking lots. Emergency officials warn drivers to be prepared as they commute to and from work. In winter weather such as this, it is important to keep a bottle of water, a blanket or extra winter coat in your car. Also be sure your cell phone is fully charged before leaving. Make sure important phone numbers and insurance information is kept on hand while traveling. If you should get stuck or slide off the road, having the essentials stored in your vehicle can keep safe while waiting for help.
