Snow creates difficult road conditions

COLUMBIA CITY — A man arrested on drug-related charges during a spring traffic stop will stand trial early next month in Whitley County Circuit Court.

Vanness D. Oliver, 35, of Mansfield, Ohio, was arrested during a traffic stop in late April, and was charged with dealing a Schedule I, II or III controlled-substance and possession of a narcotic drug.

His trial is scheduled for Jan. 7, 2014, with jury selection at 9 a.m. and evidence beginning at noon.

Oliver’s attorney is Nikos Nakos. Oliver is currently out on bond and is not incarcerated.
