Two of the empty stores located in the Towne & Country Plaza shopping center will be filled by this fall.

Two more businesses have signed on to lease space in Columbia City’s Towne & Country Shopping Center beginning this fall, one a retail store that’s new to the area and the other an employment service center that’s opening at a new location.
Sentry Properties has announced that Aaron’s will open in the 7,600 square foot store between Papa John’s and Fashion Bug. Aaron’s specializes in lease ownership and retailing of office furniture, consumer electronics and home appliances.
WorkOne will open in the office space located between Aircom and Great Clips to provide individual employment and training services. The WorkOne office in Columbia City located on Hoosier Drive is closed on Wednesdays and could not be reached to find out if that location would be closing.
“We have seen interest in the center pick up dramatically in the past few months,” said Don Leathery of The Leathery Company, which manages the shopping center. “We are hopeful that the Kroger Co. will be able to sell the former Scotts building soon too.”
Both stores are expected to open in October.
