BACK TO SCHOOL: SGCS faculty turnover continues

July 17, 2013

CHURUBUSCO — A few more new faces will be at Smith-Green Community Schools this coming August, now that two 2012-13 faculty members are leaving Churubusco Junior-Senior High School.

CJSHS Assistant Principal Matt Widenhoefer resigned from his position. He will be taking a teaching job at Concordia High School in Fort Wayne.

Also leaving SGCS is Jamie Perlich, CJSHS physical education teacher and girls basketball head coach. Perlich will become the new athletic director at Blackhawk Christian School.

Widenhoefer’s and Perlich’s resignations were received by the SGCS Board of School Trustees Monday at its monthly meeting.

With their departures, Assistant Athletic Director Paul Sade will leave his position as CJSHS science teacher and fill Perlich’s vacancy as physical education teacher.
