The high school soccer season might be over the Columbia City teams but the honors are still rolling in.
Both Eagles squads were led throughout the season by their seniors and that was recognized in the All-Northeast Hoosier Conference selections.
Monday, Columbia City had six seniors and eight players between its girls’ and boys’ squads make the list of the NHC’s best.
The selected players are voted upon by the eight coaches in the NHC.
The Lady Eagles had five players named to the girls’ list.
Senior defender Jessica Bickle and goalkeeper Corinna Raypole were selected along side junior forward   Sarah Opliger and midfielder Katie Saillant to the second-team all-conference.
Senior Michaela McIntosh also garnered notice from NHC coaches as an honorable mention at the forward position.
The Columbia City boys’ team had three seniors make the cut.
Led all season by his left foot, the Eagles senior forward Devin Rice was on the first-team list.
Defender Austin Porter was put on the second-team All-NHC. Midfielder Grant Wood earned honorable mention.
