COLUMBIA CITY — Jeff Ott, owner and operator of Precision Arms Of Indiana, in Columbia City, was the speaker at the Rotary Club meeting Tuesday.

Ott spoke on some of the current issues relative to firearms in the State of Indiana.

“Actually, business is too good right now,” he said. The demand far exceeds the supply. And it’s a little hard to explain why,” he said.
He said it was more complicated than simply attributing it all to recent tragedies.

He equated it to panic buying without thought.

“Interestingly, right now, there is a huge back-order for small, 22 caliber ammunition, not what you’d expect if people were interested in protecting themselves.“
