ROBBED: Fort Wayne Police probe armed robbery

FORT WAYNE — Police are looking for suspects in an armed robbery that occurred Thursday morning in Fort Wayne.

According to a press release by the Fort Wayne Police Department, at approximately 8:40 a.m. Thursday, two males in dark hooded sweatshirts approached two employees from Midwest America Federal Credit Union on Swinney Avenue, forcing the employees to take them inside.

Both suspects, who were armed with handguns, demanded cash before leaving.

Investigators are continuing to interview possible witnesses, and the incident remains under investigation by the FWPD and Bank Robbery Task Force.
