REQUESTED REZONING PERMIT: Factory property denied in unanimous vote

Stephan Wells, owner of the former Testworth Laboratories property and Wells & Sons Metal Recycling, petitioned to the Columbia City Common Council to have the Testworth property rezoned from “general business” to “light industrial.” The request was denied by a unanimous vote by the council.

COLUMBIA CITY — A rezoning proposal has been twice denied by the City of Columbia City. Two weeks ago, the Columbia City Plan Commission was approached by Stephan Wells, the owner of Wells & Sons Metal Recycling, and current owner of the former Testworth Laboratories property.
