RECIPE OF THE WEEK: Homemade bread/rolls

Homemade Bread/Rolls
1 qt. lukewarm water
4 tsp. salt
2 T. soft lard
1/4 c. sugar
1 pkg. dry yeast
flour, enough to stiff dough

Sift flour in large bowl. Make hole in flour. Pour in water, sugar, salt and yeast. Stir all together. Add lard. Kneed until dough does not stick to board. Put dough in greased bowl, cover, let rise until doubles in bulk. Punch down and let rise again. Shape in loaves, let rise again. Blake loaves for 1 hours or rolls for 20 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from pans and let cool.
