COLUMBIA CITY — Peabody Public Library recently announced that another child has completed the "1,000 Book Club" program.

“Congratulations to Liam Wardwell for reading or listening to 1000 books,” said library staff.

Wardwell received a bag with 10 reading patches and a book of his choice. His picture will be displayed on the 1,000 Book Club Hall of Fame in the Children's Services department.

The 1,000 Book Club is based on the research that children should read or be read to 1,000 books before they start kindergarten.
