Orval Johnston, 98

RICHMOND — Orval D. Johnston, 98, died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 9:30 p.m. in Golden Living Center, Richmond.
Johnston was born Feb. 5, 1913 in Warsaw to Charley W. and Leota (Rhodes) Johnston.
On June 6, 1939, he married Aletha B. Beiswanger in Warsaw.
Survivors include three sons, Gaylord Johnston, Warsaw, David Johnston of Columbia City and Dallas Johnston of Elkhart; two daughters, Rosalind Morey, Richmond and Virginia “Ginny” Hermansen of Salem, Ore.; 17 grandchildren 30 great grandchildren, and numerous foster grandchildren and step grandchildren.
Preceding Johnston in death was his wife of 57 years, Aletha, three brothers, Lester, Herschel and Hubert Johnston and his sister, Faye VanGundy.
Visitation is Thursday, 5 to 8 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Jerry Yoder of Church of God, Warsaw, officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
