Norma L. Wooldridge, 83, a former resident of rural Churubusco and more recently of Fort Wayne, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at 2:09 p.m. at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
She was born July 31, 1928 in Belington, West Virginia, a daughter of Steven and Rita (Myers) England.
On Jan. 31, 1966, she married Elmer D. Wooldridge. He preceded her in death Sept. 11, 2004.
The surviving relatives include her sons Philip Carroll of Churubusco and David Huff of Squires, Mo.; a step-son James Wooldridge of Indianapolis; her sisters Louise Cross and Loverine Ware, both of Belington, W.Va. and Joan Winslow of Century, W.Va.; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Gary Huff.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at Covington Memorial Gardens, 8404 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Rev. Rick Van Horn, pastor of Christ Community Church, will officiate and entombment will follow in the cemetery mausoleum.
Visitation is at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
