COLUMBIA CITY— Sights will be set on a familiar face in Columbia City.

Dr. Andrew Hogue purchased the practice of Dr. Westrick at Westrick Family Eye Care, which is located on North Line Street in Columbia City.

Hogue, a Whitley County native, purchased the practice this past summer. He said returning to his hometown has been a blessing.

“I am enjoying being back in Columbia City with the many patients I already know. I am reconnecting with a lot of memories from being a kid,” he said.

Hogue graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1993. For most of the past 20 years, he has been practicing in the Fort Wayne area.

Coming back to the Columbia City has been something Hogue has enjoyed, and he has experienced a full slate right from the start in taking over for Dr. Westrick.

“We’ve been busy right away, and that’s been helpful in keeping everybody going,” he said.

When the opportunity arose to purchase the Westrick practice, Hogue said he was not alone in believing it was a good opportunity.
