Myrna Jane Brown-Yancey, 69

Myrna Jane Brown-Yancey, 69, of Columbia City, died at 1:47 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born Sept. 23, 1940, she was a daughter of Lee Arthur and Ethel (Weeks) Brown.

Survivors include six daughters, Nila Leckrone-Born, Lila Leckrone-Gagnon, Debra Brown, Mary Brown-Coe and twins, Amy and Angie; two brothers, Gale Brown and Cleo Brown; sisters, Bonnie Brown-Knetter and Sandra Brown-Watkins.

Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be on the same day at 1 p.m. with Certified Funeral Celebrant Eddie Beagles, CFSP, CFC officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Myrt’s memory be made to the final expense account c/o DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
