COLUMBIA CITY — Two men were arrested Sunday evening after the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department found marijuana in their rental truck.
Jonathon Aranburo, 24, and Archie Joseph Brady, 20, of Fort Wayne were pulled over while driving a U-Haul truck, rented by Aranburo, to move the pair to Warsaw.
After receiving a tip on the vehicle, the truck was pulled over by Sergeant Mike Engle for unsafe lane change at the Marathon parking lot on Armstrong Drive and U.S. 30.
After getting consent to search the truck by Aranburo, police discovered a duffel bag and suitcase containing illegal drugs, along with furniture.
Upon searching the bags, approximately six pounds of marijuana, illegal prescription drugs, a handgun, two scales, several cell phones and a smoking device were found.
Both men were arrested for possession of over 30 grams of marijuana and possession with intent to deal.
Aranburo was also charged with maintaining a common nuisance and serious violent felon in possession of a handgun.
Brady was charged with possession of Schedule II controlled substance.
The Columbia City Police Department assisted in transporting the pair to the Whitley County Jail, pending investigation.

I guess they didn't see this coming, not they'll have to face the consequences. They aren't the only example here, I've learned my drug lesson the hard way myself, drug almost killed me but I found the strength to recover in a Texas drug rehab, I bet these guys wished they were in rehab now instead of jail...

This needs to get straightened out, Archie is innocent and did not know about any of the illegal things in the truck. He was simply helping Jonathan move into a new home, and then all of this stuff happened. This could happen to anybody.

"police discovered a duffel bag and suitcase containing illegal drugs", if you were helping someone move would you go through all of their personal belongings?

I ask this of anyone who reads this article. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE have sympathy for Archie, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and he is innocent. Remember people, things are not always as they appear, and coming from someone who knows Archie; I know that he is innocent, and he would never even dare to smoke or touch Marijuana.

-It is the press that has taken these charges and accusations and blown them up without any kind of skepticism whatsoever - blown them into realities and treated them as if they were true. (Quote by - Dixie Lee Ray)-

If the Post and Mail is going to post this, I feel as though people need to know more behind the story.

People please pray for Archie, and pray that he will not be charged with these False Accusations.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS.

I agree 100% with Gregg. Archie is one of the NICEST kids I know. He has never done any wrong and they are making him sound like the complete opposite of his true self. I cannot believe that the newspaper would put a story in before the investigation was over with. Archie is a great kid with great potential. He was helping someone move, which just shows how nice of a person he is. Shame to the other kid that got him in trouble.

I'm praying for you Archie!
