COLUMBIA CITY — A Michigan man was severely injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident.
Michael Plumley, 62, was airlifted to Fort Wayne by Parkview Samaritan with severe head and internal injuries after his motorcycle collided with a car on Ind. 9 near the south county line.
Police were called to the area of 1000 S. Ind. 9 at approximately 5 p.m. after Plumley’s motorcycle hit a car driven by Denise Brewster, 62, of Huntington.
According to a crash report by Whitley County Sheriff’s Deputy Tony Helfrich, both Plumley and Brewster were southbound on Ind. 9, when Plumley attempted to pass Brewster.
Brewster was making a left-hand turn, colliding with Plumley and ejecting him from his motorcycle.
