Marilyn Krom, 69

Marilyn M. Krom, 69, of High Lake, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at her home. She had been in failing health.
She was born May 14, 1943, in Fort Wayne, a daughter of Herbert and Anna Mae (Maas) Alles.
Her formative years were spent in Jefferson Township. She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School.
In 1966, she moved to Wilshire, OH until 1989 when she moved to Big Cedar Lake. She was employed 15 years at Noble Wire, retiring in 2005.
On Oct. 27, 2007, she married Rick L. Krom. They have always made their home together at High Lake.
Her memberships included Wolf Lake V.F.W. #4717 Auxiliary.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Rick; three sons, Chad (Mary Beth) Merinar of Mentor, OH, Kevin (Terri) Merinar of Concord, OH and Joshua (Lauren) Merinar of Geneva, OH; a stepdaughter, Billie Jo (John) Ulrey of Ligonier; seven grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters, Ted (Becky) Alles of Milford, Beverly (Walter) Rectenwald of Fort Wayne, Larry (Patricia) Alles of Columbia City, Francis (Mary Jo) Alles of Columbia City, Douglas Alles of Fort Wayne, Renee (Tony) Reid of Haviland, OH and Julie (Sam) Landis of Columbia City.
Her parents preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at noon, Saturday with visitation from 10 a.m. until noon at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
The burial will be at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
