Marcia Ann Gordon, 62, of Columbia City, passed away at 2:10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born Aug. 7, 1948 in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of Franklin M. and Dorothy J. (Buckles) Walker.
A lifetime resident of Columbia City, she graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1966. On Nov. 9, 1968 she married Phil David Gordon at Grace Lutheran Church parsonage with Pastor Graham L. Kleespie officiating. She worked at Blue Bell, Precision Plastics, Alcoils, Schultz’s Dime Store and at H&R Block as a tax preparer. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church, Columbia City, and was an avid quilter.
Survivors include her husband, Phil David Gordon of Columbia City; two daughters, Michelle J. (Todd E.) Clark of Columbia City and Melissa A. (Jonathan J.) Rose of South Bend; six grandchildren, Megan Clark, Madison Clark, Jeremiah Rose, Tanner Clark, Noah Rose and Isaiah Rose.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Visitation is 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will immediately follow calling at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Jonathan Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Nolt Cemetery, Columbia City.
