May 6, 2013

FORT WAYNE(AP) — A Fort Wayne man who drowned in the St. Joseph River in that city has been identified.

Allen County Coroner's Office and police reports say the body of 58-year-old Jeffery Bultemeier was found in the river at Shoaff Park on Sunday.

Bultemeier's family reported him missing early last week, and his car was found by a boat ramp at Shoaff Park.

Police said Sunday that foul play was not suspected.

An area newspaper reported Monday that the death remains under investigation by police, coroners and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
