Longtime pastor steps down from the pulpit

COLUMBIA CITY — When he was a boy, Jim Clifford’s grandfather once told him he had the “shoulders of a preacher.”
Those words proved prophetic when Clifford, with the support of his wife Barbara, took the pulpit at Laud Christian Church and delivered sermons for 42 years.
