Lois Sheets, 71

Lois A. Sheets, 71, of Columbia City, died at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 at Peabody Home, North Manchester, where she had been a resident since October 2012.
She was born April 11, 1942, in Sullivan County, a daughter of Cisco R. and Jeanette I. (White) May.
Her formative years were spent in Sullivan County. She graduated from Sullivan High School in 1960.
On June 10, 1961, she was united in marriage to Paul V. Sheets. They made their home in Larwill for a short time before moving to Columbia City. Mr. Sheets died Sept. 26, 2011.
She was employed at R.R. Donnelley and Dalite Screens in Warsaw, Alcoils, Chamberlin Products, Precision Plastics and Fibre Form.
Her memberships included Eagles #1906 Auxiliary and American Legion Post #98 Auxiliary.
Surviving relatives include three children, Michael (Charlene) Sheets of Columbia City, Theresa Tucker of Columbia City and Robert (Theresa) Sheets of Kimmell; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Carter of Columbia City and Bonnie Fitzpatrick of Warsaw; and a brother, Danny May of Warsaw.
In addition to her parents, Cisco May and Jeanette Loe; and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Sheets; and three sisters, Carol May, Alice Crawford and Rose Wall.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Eberhard Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
