FORT WAYNE â€” Whitkoâ€™s boys soccer team lost in a sectional semifinal to Fort Wayne Concordia Thursday.
The Cadets beat the Wildcats 9-0 in a Class 1A game played at Fort Wayne Bishop Luers.
Concordia had five goals in the first half and four in the second. Joshua Hillery of Concordia had three goals in the contest.
GOSHEN â€” Churubuscoâ€™s volleyball team lost to NECC-rival Fairfield Thursday.
The Lady Falcons swept the Lady Eagles, 25-9, 25-15 and 25-17.
The defeat drops â€™Busco to 15-12 on the season.
COLUMBIA CITY â€” Indian Springs Middle Schoolâ€™s eighth grade Lady Stars volleyball team picked up two wins last week.
Monday, the Lady Stars traveled to Tippecanoe Valley Middle School and won a two-set sweep, 25-23 and 25-20.
Breanna Lahr led in serving with nine straight points, including two aces. Jayma Acres had five straight points and four aces.
Sarah Frankle led the team in kills with six. Emilee Smith had five, Shayla Harris three and Acres and Haley Reed each had one.
Frankle and Smith each had a block for the Lady Stars.
COLUMBIA CITY â€” Indian Springs Middle Schoolâ€™s seventh grade Lady Stars volleyball team got its first home win of the year against DeKalb.
The Lady Stars swept DeKalb 25-23 and 25-12.
Tori Snyder led the team in kills with eight. Grace Cotter, Brooke Ebersole, Grace Mills and Haley Willson also contributed at the net with hitting.
