LeAnn Rosen, 66, of Columbia City, passed away at 9:25 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at her home after an extended illness due to cancer.
Born on Sept. 13, 1947, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Kenneth C. and Judith (Fry) Hosler.
She graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1965. Upon her graduation she immediately entered the insurance field working for more than 25 years, first for Keith Dowell, John Lefever and currently was employed as an insurance agent for Star Insurance.
She married James A. Rosen, Jr. Feb. 12, 1966, at Laud Christian Church and they have spent their lifetime in Whitley County living at their present home since 1971.
Surviving relatives include her husband of 47 years, Jim A. Rosen of Columbia City; children, Adam Curtis (Kim) Rosen and Eve Christine Rosen, both of Columbia City; two grandchildren, Jenna and Seth Rosen both of Columbia City; two brothers, Doug (Deb) Hosler and Dane (Vicki) Hosler both of Columbia City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth C. and Judith Hosler.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Hank Workman officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Original Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be given in Mrs. Rosenâ€™s memory to The Warehouse Church Forklift Feeding Program.
