Lady Eagles lose heartbreaker

November 19, 2012

COLUMBIA CITY — After nearly a complete turn-around of last week’s Columbia City girls basketball game — when the Lady Eagles had 38 turnovers and lost by more than 20 points to Snider — Columbia City came within two seconds of a win over Marion Saturday.

Despite Macie Hinen’s comeback — scoring twice in the final minute to take a three-point lead — Marion scored twice in the final four seconds to win, 43-40.

Emily Whiteleather led Columbia City in scoring and rebounds with a double-double, 10 points and 15 rebounds.
