WARSAW â€” Columbia Cityâ€™s girls swim team ended its season with a sixth-place sectional finish on Saturday.
The Lady Eagles ended the meet with 141 team points. Culver Academy came in first with a team score of 445. Host Warsaw was second with 382.
Columbia City netted a couple of fifth place finishes on the afternoon. Taylor Hartsock came in fifth in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:10.19 and the 200 freestyle relay squad of Katlin Knott, Hartsock, Mishayla Hager and Cassie Bosselman came in fifth at a time of 1:55.39.
Knott also came in sixth with a time of 27.97 in the 50 freestyle and the 400 freestyle relay of Knott, Hager, Hartsock and Bosselman was also sixth.
â€śThey did great,â€ť Columbia City girls swimming coach Kristen Swonger said. â€śGetting sixth overall was awesome.â€ť
Swonger was additionally happy with the balanced effort of the team.
â€śWe had a girl in each event and all relays were in the top eight,â€ť she said.
Whitko swimmer Emily Moseley came in 10th in the 200 individual medley and was also 12th in the breaststroke.
