(recorded due West), on and along the South line of said Northwest
Quarter, a distance of 1324.6 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 6.690 Acres of land, more or less, subject to legal right of
way for Meridian Road Subject to all legal drain easements and
subject to all other easements of record and further subject to an
easement for ingress and egress purposes, 20 feet in width, being
a part of the South 220 feet of the South 20.09 acres, by parallel
lines of the West half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 35,
Township 31 North Range 9 East, Whitely County, Indiana, the
centerline of said easement being more particularly described as
follows, to wit; Beginning on the West line of the west half of said

bearing), a distance of 49.0 feet from the Southwest corner of said
Northwest Quarter; thence N 88º-03` E, a distance of 262.33 feet
to the point of curvature of regular curve to the right having a radius
of 531.40 feet; thence Southeasterly on and along said curve and arc
length of 145.23 feet ( the chord of which bears S 84º-07`-15” E, for
a distance of 144.77 feet) to the point of tangency; thence S 76º-
17`-30” E and tangent to said curve a distance of 30.21 feet to the
point curvature of a regular curve to the left having a radius of
539.46 feet; thence Easterly, S 83º-40`E for a distance of 138.49
feet) to the point of tangency; thence N 88º-57`30” E and tangent to
said curve a distance of 90.28 feet to the point of curvature of
a regular curve to the left having a radius of 127.45 feet; thence
Northeasterly, on and along said curve an arc length of 158.84 feet(
the chord of which bears N 53º-15`-15” E, a distance of 148.76 feet)
to the point of tangency; thence N 17º-33` E and tangent to said
curve, a distance of 59.1 feet; thence N 27º-37` E, a distance of 59
feet, more or less, to the North line of the South 220 feet of the
south 20.09 acres, by parallel lines of the West half of the Northwest
Quarter of said Section 35 and there to terminate.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
RADIO PROJECT
A Request for Proposals (RFP) is being released for a high quality,
comprehensive P25 capable analog-digital capable simulcast repeater
system, mobile and portable radios, and a public safety radio console
dispatch system. These proposals must be received in the Whitley
County Auditor’s Offce by 4:00 p.m. EST, June 13, 2014. The
proposals will be opened at 1:00 P.M. EST, in the Whitley County
Government Center, Commissioners room, located at 220 W Van
Buren St. Columbia City, Indiana 46725, and taken under review to be
awarded at a later date. The envelope must be clearly marked Whitley
County Radio Project. Three (3) copies (one original plus two copies,
three total) of the proposal should be sent to:

Proposals are to remain in effect for one hundred and twenty (120)
days.
The Whitley County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to
reject any or all bids, proposals or quotations, waive any technicality or
error in the bid, proposal or quotation or any part therein, and to accept
the same or combinations, in whole or in part, whenever such waiver or
acceptance is deemed to be in the best interest of Whitley County.
Contract will be awarded to the most qualifed vendor on the basis of
the base proposal and full consideration of all alternatives, as may be
in the best interest of Whitley County. In determining the award of the
contract, Whitley County will consider the scope of the work involved,
time of delivery, competency of the vendors, their ability to render
satisfactory service, and past performance.

Proposals received after that date and time will be returned unopened
and not be considered for contract award. Proposals are to be submitted
in a seal envelope clearly marked “Whitley County Radio Project.”
Vendor shall provide original and two copies of the RFP. Fax proposals
will not be accepted for this RFP.

Proposals Opening: The sealed proposals will be publicly opened and
read aloud at the Whitley County Commissioner meeting on June 16,
2014 at 1:00 EST/
All work for the complete implementation of the project will be made
under one prime contract with the Owner or its assignee. Completion
of the project will be in full accordance with the proposal documents,
which are on fle with Whitley County and may be obtained by
prospective vendors by contacting Scott Jones, Whitley County Sheriff
Dept., 260-248-3159, sjones@whitleysd.com; or in writing at Whitley
County Sheriff Department, 101 West Market Street Columbia City, IN
46725. Proposal will not be emailed, must pick up Request for Proposal
at Whitley County Auditors Offce.
Bid security in the amount of fve percent (5%) of the bid must
accompany each proposal in accordance with the Instructions to
Vendors. Bid security shall be a bid bond or certifed check. All bid
bonds shall be made payable to Whitley County Treasurer. The Owner
reserved the right to accept or reject any proposal and to waive any
irregularities in bidding. No vendor may withdraw his/her bid for a
period extending to 120 days after proposal opening.

Notice is hereby given, that the Whitley County Plan Commission shall
hold a public hearing on Petition 14-W-REZ-1 fled by Kay Beard,
representative of Mark L. and Cynthia K. Strack and Deathe & McCoy,
LLC who are requesting an amendment to the Whitley County Zoning
Map by reclassifying from the AG, Agricultural District to the GC,
General Commercial District and IPM, Industrial Park/Manufacturing

Noon on the day of the hearing. A copy of the proposed amendment
is on fle in the offce of the Columbia City/Whitley County Plan
Commission for examination before the hearing. The Plan Commission
may continue the hearing from time to time as may be found necessary.
