Janice Forster 93, of Rockford, Ill. and formerly a 50-year resident of Cherry Valley, Ill. died peacefully Sunday morning, Oct. 13, 2013, in Presence Cor Mariae.
Janice was born Oct. 10, 1920, in Columbia City, the daughter of Dr. Benjamin and Vera Isabell (Refner) Pence.
Janice is survived by her children, Mike (Linda) Phillips, Judy Hillis, Rodger (Jan) Phillips, Elaine Voiles, Pat Baxter, Peg (Cecil) Voiles, Johannah Overmeyer, Chris (Chuck) Lungstrom; granddaughter, Angela Gosling; sisters, Ellen Randall and Betty Loe of Panama City Fla.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Norman Phillips; husband, Jack Forster; son-in-law, Lee Baxter and grandson, Billy Bonzi.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m, Friday in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, Ill. with burial in Highland Garden of Memories.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in care of Ida Public Library, 320 N. State St., Belvidere, IL 61008.
