ISMS tops Manchester

COLUMBIA CITY â€” Indian Springs Middle Schoolâ€™s 8th-grade Lady Stars played host to the Lady Squires of Manchester Wednesday night.
The Lady Stars improved to 8-5 on the season with a 36-17 win over the visitors.
Mason Van Houten scored 20 points to lead Indian Springs.
Madison Hansen also chipped in 11 points. Crystal Van Houten and Justene Whitehead each scored two points and Bella Krieg added a free throw to round out the scoring for ISMS.
â€śWe finally put four quarters together and it paid off,â€ť said coach Tommy Baldwin. â€śWe won as a team tonight.â€ť
The Lady Stars return to action Thursday night when they travel to Huntington to tangle with Crestview Middle School.
The tip for the 7th-grade game is scheduled for 5 p.m., with 8th grade to follow.
