Howard Wolfe, 93

Howard L. “Windy” Wolfe, 93, formerly of South Whitley, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010 at Peabody Retirement Center, North Manchester. Born June 18, 1917 in Columbia Township, he was a son of Grover and Effie (Stayer) Wolfe. He served in the U.S. Army and was united in marriage to Bertha Hill; she preceded him in death. He was then married to Beulah L. Dalton, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by three sons, Larry G. Wolfe, Jack Wolfe and Gary Wolfe; two daughters, Marjorie Frost and Vickie Swick.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City. Pastor Gene Rohrer of Oak Grove United Methodist Church will officiate.
Memorials in memory of Mr. Wolfe may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Washington-Union Township Cemetery, Pierceton. Graveside military rights will be conducted by the Whitley County Korean War Veterans Honor Guard.
