HOT RODS: Sat. car, truck, motorcycle show to benefit Junior Achievement

COLUMBIA CITY — Downtown Columbia City will be host to high horsepower engines and brilliant chrome Saturday when classic car enthusiasts from all over converge on the Courthouse square for the 11th annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show to benefit Junior Achievement Serving Whitley County.
The show will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. with gates opening at 8 a.m. Judging will end at 11 a.m. and awards will be presented at 1 p.m.
Awards will be given for the top five entries in each of the following categories — 1949 and older, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000 and newer for cars and trucks.
Awards will also include the top five motorcycle entries and a people’s choice award.
General admission will be free to spectators.
There will be music, food, festivities as well as the Farmer’s Market on the courthouse square.
