GUILTY PLEA: Hartman admits to drug crimes

August 2, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — A week after her accomplice admitted guilt, a Columbia City woman acknowledged her role in an attempted drug deal in June.

Savannah Hartman, 20, pleaded guilty to dealing in a Schedule II controlled substance, which is a Class B felony.

In a soft voice, Hartman admitted she aided or caused Krystal Thornsbearry to arrange a drug deal for 35 pills of oxycodone. Thornsbearry pleaded guilty in Whitley County Circuit Court last week.

As part of a plea agreement, Hartman will receive a suspended sentence for two drug charges she is facing in Superior Court, which are possession of a legend drug and possession of a synthetic cannabinoid.
